A 58-year-old man handed himself over to the Gelvandale police in Port Elizabeth after allegedly killing a 29-year-old man, who confronted him in his house.
Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says Glendon Jansen went to the suspect's house in Old Standford road on Monday night to confront him for reasons unknown to police at this time.
The suspect was allegedly assaulted with a baseball bat before pulling out his knife and stabbing Jansen twice.
Naidu says Jansen was stabbed in the back and chest and succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
Shortly after the incident Jansen's friends' went to the suspect's house where they broke his house windows and set his bakkie alight.
A 35-year-old man was arrested and detained on a charge of malicious damage to property and public violence.
