A 29-year-old man from Kleinskool is expected to appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrates' Court on Friday to face charges of rape and murder.

Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says it is alleged that on the 22nd of August 2020 George offered to walk the 30-year-old Melissa Marlouw home in the early hours of the morning after they were drinking with friends.
She says George allegedly attacked her in Independence street in Bethelsdorp.
Marlouw was hit over the head with a stone before being raped and stabbed to death.
