A 30-year-old Port Elizabeth man will appear in court this week for allegedly being in possession of drugs worth tens of thousands of rands.
Police spokesperson, Constable Mcedi Mbombo, says the man was arrested in Njoli Road in New Brighton late Sunday afternoon.
New Brighton Crime prevention members got a tip-off that a Silver-grey Hundai i20 was delivering mandrax in the area.
He says they spotted the vehicle and stopped it.
"While searching it they found mandrax tablets inside - with the estimated street value of R60 000," he said.
