A 66-year-old Port Elizabeth man was hospitalised this weekend after being attacked on his property in a complex in Beverley Grove.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Alwin Labans, says the incident happened on Saturday morning when the man was confronted by three assailants in the yard of his home.
He said they assaulted the homeowner before fleeing in his Corsa bakkie, with the registration HHF 734 EC.
Labans says the victim's wife found him when she returned home later and he was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police could not confirm a report that the suspects damaged a boundary wall to gain access to the property.
