Mossel Bay teen dies of suspected overdose, friends hospitalized

Mossel Bay police are investigating the death of a 13-year-old girl in hospital on Sunday who allegedly died from an overdose of medication.

Police say two of her friends, reportedly of the same age, also had to be hospitalised following the incident on Saturday evening at the deceased girl's family home in Mossel Bay.

They were all rushed to hospital and the two surviving girls have since been transferred to the George Provincial Hospital after their condition deteriorated.

Da Gamaskop police have opened an inquest docket.
