PE man arrested for possession of mandrax

 Port Elizabeth police have arrested a 26-year old man for being in possession of drugs with a street value of R55 000.

Police spokesperson, warrant officer Dumile Gwavu, says the suspect was arrested on Sunday in Masize Street in Zwide, following a tip-off from the community.

He says police recovered 925 mandrax tablets .

Gwavu says the suspect will appear in the city's magistrates court soon on a charge of dealing in drugs.
