A 53- year-old Lorraine man is expected to appear in court early next week on drug related charges.
Port Elizabeth police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said Mount Road Crime Prevention Unit Warrant officer, Shaun Wait and Port Elizabeth's Flying Squad Warrant officer, Deon Fourie and Gerhard Van der Merwe acted on information received on Thursday, about possible drug activities at a house in Trevor Street in Lorraine.
The officers executed a search warrant at the house where they found processed dagga stored in various containers.
They also confiscated about 100 dagga plants which were growing in the back yard.
The total weight of the dagga is 2,9kg and the estimated street value is R58 000.
Naidu said the suspect was detained on charges of cultivating dagga plants and dealing in dagga.
