A man from Port Elizabeth is one of two people arrested in connection with the robbery at a branch of Absa Bank in Joubertina on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson, warrant officer Marianette Olivier, says the first suspect was arrested after being wounded in a shootout with police at a roadblock between Uniondale and Misgund.
She says the second suspect was arrested in the Uniondale area on Wednesday.
Olivier says four other men detained in connection with the robbery have been released as they could not be linked to the heist.
On Tuesday an armed gang robbed a branch of Absa Bank in Joubertina of an undisclosed amount of money.
A teller was injured during the heist after being hit with a fire-arm.
The hunt for the remaining suspects, believed to number around 10, is still continuing.
