Three suspects appeared in the Port Elizabeth Magistrates court on Thursday for a bail application following an alleged mob-justice killing.
Vukile Dyele, Mputhumi Maxela, and Siyabulela Sibulo in their thirties are allegedly community leaders that committed a double murder on the 19th of May.
In his evidence investigating officer Conrad Goosen says during the incident the victims were assaulted by a mob of around 500 people.
He says that the community cannot take matters into their own hands.
He says as a result of the Booysen park riots 6 houses were burnt down in the process and caused millions of rands in damage to the area.
