PE man arrested for drunken driving following a fatal accident

A 48-year-old Port Elizabeth man has been arrested for drunken driving following a fatal accident at Swartkops.

Police Warrant Officer Dumile Gwavu, says a car rolled and landed in the river in the early hours of this morning.

The deceased was a passenger in the vehicle and died at the scene.

Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide and drunken driving.
