PE Magistrates Court closed for decontamination

Cases at Port Elizabeth Magistrate's Court will be postponed on Friday morning ahead of the building being decontaminated.

This, after six positive Covid19 cases, were recorded among staff this week.

Regional Court Manager, Andrew Witbooi says they are all in quarantine while 13 contacts are self-isolating.

on Thursday, other court staff, including clerks, held a protest outside before a meeting with management.

Witbooi says court services are expected to resume on Monday.
