PE learner killed in gang violence

Port Elizabeth police are investigating the murder of a 20-year old learner in Korsten on Thursday.

Police captain Johan Rheeder says the Grade 11 learner from Livingstone High School in Schauderville was shot at close range in Highfield Road near the Mercantile Hospital.

He says the attacker fired a single shot at close range and the man died at the scene.

Rheeder says no arrests have yet been made but the incident was gang related.
