Six house robbery suspects are behind bars following two separate incidents reported to Port Elizabeth police.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, said three men were arrested on Tuesday following a home invasion that took place in Helenvale on Saturday night.
She says the suspects ransacked a house, taking jewellery and cell phones valued at R25 000.
Janse Van Rensburg said the matter was only reported to police on Tuesday who swiftly arrested the suspects.
Meanwhile, she said the second reported house robbery occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning when three suspects forced their way into a house in Virgo Street also in Helenvale.
They took several items from the house, but Janse Van Rensburg said they were in police custody by 9 am.
All six are due to appear in court this week.
