Police in Gelvandale are looking for an unknown suspect who shot a homeowner outside his house on Friday night.
Police Spokesperson Lieutenant Priscilla Naidu says the complainant and his wife drove into their premises in Coltman Road, when they noticed the man in their yard.
He first asked for some water, before demanding money.
Naidu says the victim handed him a ten rand note but the suspect grabbed another fifty before shooting him in the neck.

Meanwhile the Port Elizabeth flying squad arrested two thirty four year old suspects following a high speed chase and shootout in Motherwell.
Naidu says the squad noticed a suspicious vehicle and gave chase when it refused to pull over.
One suspect fired at police, before throwing his gun out the window.
They later crashed into a wall and was arrested shortly after.
Naidu says the suspects were driving in a hijacked Polo.
