A 28-year Port Elizabeth man was gunned down in broad daylight close to a school on Tuesday.
Police said that the 28-year old man, an affiliate of the Dustlife gang, "was shot at several times while he was walking down Beetlestone Road in Gelvandale"
" According to police information, the victim was approached by three suspects who shot at him," said police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu.
"The suspects got into a taxi and drove off. The motive for the shooting is unknown," she said.
The shooting is being investigated by the Provincial Gang Investigation Unit.
Naidu said the name of the victim was being withheld pending formal notification.
