A Port Elizabeth gangster will spend the rest of his life in prison after being sentenced in the High Court on Monday.
The 21-year-old Walter Williams who is a member of the "Nice Time Bozzas" (NTB) gang was last week found guilty on all 10 counts against him which includes murder, attempted murder and the unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Williams committed his crimes during December 2018 in Helenvale, where his gang dominated at the time.
Williams first tried to take out a teenager, who was a witness in a fellow gang members' case.
The 17-year-old managed to run to safety but two minors got struck by stray bullets.
The children have since recovered from their wounds.
The very next day, Williams shot and killed Richard Marius Stuurman, while he was playing cards with his friends.
The gang unit arrested him a month later in January of 2019.
His total prison sentence for all 10 counts is life, plus 31 years and six months.
