PE gangster arrested in Bloemendal drug bust

A 47-year-old gang member is expected to appear in a Port Elizabeth court soon following his arrest in Bloemendal on Wednesday for allegedly dealing in drugs.

Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says police executed a search warrant at a house in Didloft Street at noon where drugs were found hidden in a garage.

She says police seized over 1 500 mandrax tablets, as well as packets of cocaine and tik with a street value of R700 000.00.

The suspect was detained by the Anti Gang Unit in Port Elizabeth on a charge of dealing in drugs.
