Three suspected gang-related shooting incidents were reported in Port Elizabeth's northern areas on Sunday, which claimed two lives.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Alwin Labans, says they have arrested two youths aged 19 and 20 in connection with the shooting in Helenvale.
Fifty-nine-year-old Albert Mitchell was killed, while three people aged between 23 and 40 sustained injuries in the arm, back and hip respectively.
In another incident in Arrow Grass street at about 21:20, an unknown man was killed in a drive-by shooting.
Labans says three people were standing in the street when the attackers arrived in a car, shot at them and fled.
The other two people were not injured.
In a third incident in the area on Sunday, two men were shooting at each other in Jenneker Street in Bethelsdorp.
Labans says no-one was injured, and police arrested one of the men, and expect to apprehend the other man shortly.
