A gun that police found hidden in a "potjiekos" pot earlier this week in Helenvale, will be sent for ballistic analysis.
Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says late on Thursday evening the Anti-Gang Unit executed a search warrant at a house in Reynecke Street as it was alleged that there were drugs and firearms on the premises.
She says police conducted a thorough search and found the gun hidden inside the pot that was full of food.
