A 26 year old Upstand Dogs gang member will appear in the Port Elizabeth magistrate's court on Monday, 12 December 2016 on two charges of attempted murder.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu said the suspect went to the PE new law courts on Thursday in support of his fellow gang members who were appearing on previous remand cases.
Members from the Provincial Gang Investigation Unit were at the court and promptly arrested the suspect on two charges of attempted murder.
Colonel Naidu said on the 16th of November, the gangster and two accomplices allegedly fired at a 19 year old teenager and two friends as they were walking in Martin Street Helenvale. No injuries were sustained.
On the 22nd of November, a 28 year old man was shot several times at the corner of Reginald and Scott streets in Helenvale.
It is alleged that the same suspect was involved in both incidents.
