Two gang affiliates have been sentenced to life behind bars for the brutal murder of a 59-year-old Port Elizabeth man.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, says 59-year-old Thomas Hammond was shot in the main road in Kleinskool in 2017.
She says the assailants, Vuyo Mankonkwana and Fabian Fillis emerged from a taxi and opened fire on Hammond while he was walking with his young son.
Naidu says they were sentenced in the Port Elizabeth High Court on Friday.
She says Provincial Police Commissioner, Lt Gen Liziwe Ntshinga has applauded the investigating team for the swift arrest of the suspects.
