Two PE firemen had to be rescued after the roof of the clubhouse at the Little Walmer Golf Club collapsed on Monday night.
John Best, the head of Safety and Security in Nelson Mandela Bay, confirmed late Monday night that two firemen were rescued from the rubble.
However, he said they were treated on scene and were not seriously injured.
Algoa FM News was told that four vehicles were dispatched to the golf club after the fire department received a call at around 9.30pm.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
