PE driver dies in horror accident

One person has been killed and two other seriously injured in an accident on the M-17 in Port Elizabeth.

Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Dumile Gwavu, says a car and a mini-bus taxi collided at around 10:30 am on Friday morning.

He says the driver of the car was killed while his passenger was injured.

Gwavu says the taxi driver was also injured and admitted to hospital.

A case of culpable homicide is being investigated.
