A 62-year-old Port Elizabeth cyclist has died after reportedly being hit by a cash-in-transit vehicle on Walmer Boulevard on Monday morning.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, did not release the man's name as his next of kin needed to be informed.
The death of the cyclists brings to at least 12, the number of people killed on Eastern Cape roads between Friday and Monday morning.
Earlier, provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell, said that an East London was arrested on a charge of drunk driving following a fatal accident on the Qumza Highway.
He says the man's vehicle allegedly veered into traffic, colliding with an oncoming car and killing the passenger.
