PE couple killed after house burned to the ground

Two people were killed after their shack in the Vastrap informal settlement burnt to the ground.

Police Spokesperson Warrant officer Alwin Labans says the fire broke out in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The bodies of a 34 year old man and a 26 year old woman were found in the rubble after the fire was extinguished.

Labans says the cause of the fire is unknown and will form part of an investigation.
