Port Elizabeth police are on a manhunt for four armed men, who robbed and shot dead an elderly man in Morningside on Friday afternoon.
Spokesperson, WO Alwin Labans says 74-year old Arthur Kinghorn went to a bank in Linton Grange and withdrew a large amount of money.
When he arrived at his home at Groendal Park Old Age Centre, he was approached by four men, who drew firearms and shot four shots at him.
Labans says Kinghorn was fatally wounded in the stomach, and he died at the scene.
The suspects then fled the premises with the cash and Kinghorn's 9mm pistol in a grey VW Polo and a white Ford Focus.
Police are investigating cases of armed robbery and murder.
