Three hundred couples were married in a mass wedding in the Philippines on Wednesday to mark the 12th of the 12 month 2012, an auspicious date that will only happen again in 89 years.
And, closer to home a local PE couple also tied the knot on Wednesday at 12 minutes past 12 on the 12th of the 12 month, 2012.
Sharmain Guest and Marcus Erasmus plan to say "I do" in an intimate garden wedding.
She explains why "12" is such an important number for her.
"Two years ago I got divorced and I had 12 friends that supported me during that divorce and just the fact that 12.12.12 you will never have that repeated again. For my future husband I think its going to be easy to remember our wedding anniversary." Guest said
