The case against a Port Elizabeth couple, who are accused of being part of a syndicate that distributed images of babies being abused, was postponed in the city's magistrate's court on Tuesday.
A 33-year-old man and 22 year-old woman from Westering, are alleged to be part of an international child pornography ring that distributed footage of the torture, rape and murder of babies and newborns.
The young woman appeared briefly in the Port Elizabeth magistrate's court on Tuesday, but her co-accused failed to appear.
A warrant of arrest for him has been held over until the fifth of April.
State Advocate Jason Thysse told the court that a specialised international unit is also investigating the matter.
