Port Elizabeth police are hunting for the suspects who executed two men in Gelvandale on Saturday evening.
Spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said the 72-hour activation plan was immediately implemented after the shot spotter alerted police to the shooting incident in Voisen Street.
She said when police arrived on the scene they found 25-year-old Bevan Rossouw and Ricardo Bosman, 26 lying in the road, both with multiple gunshot wounds to the head.
Naidu said Bosman died on the way to the hospital.
“At this stage, circumstances surrounding the murders and suspects are unknown. Two cases of murder are under investigation,” she said.
