The Port Elizabeth policeman who was arrested in connection with the murder of his wife is due to appear back in court on the 12th of January.
Mlungisi Tsitsi briefly appeared in the Motherwell Magistrate Court on Thursday for his alleged involvement in the murder of his police woman wife, Nomathamsanqa.
She was shot dead in her car ouside her Motherwell home last month.
Tsitsi was arrested at a memorial service for his wife in Kwazakhele on Tuesday, bringing to four the number of suspects behind bars.
Police spokesperson, Captain Andre' Beetge says Tsitsi will however be back in court for a formal bail hearing on the 11th of December.
"Whether or not he is going to be getting bail,will not affect the 12th of January when the case will continue together with the co-accused" he said.
The 36-year-old officer was stationed at Motherwell SAPS Crime Office.
He is facing charges of Conspiracy to commit murder and Murder.
