Well-known Port Elizabeth businessman Dave McCall has died in hospital after crashing on a breakfast run at Van Stadens River Bridge.
McCall, who was in his early sixties, owned Dalen Industries in the city.
He was returning from his regular outing with fellow members of the BMW motorcycle club when the accident happened on Sunday afternoon.
He died in hospital from severe head injuries.
McCall was also a very keen golfer and supporter of the Qaccs golf society in Port Elizabeth.
He was looking forward to taking part in Qaccs nationals later this week, which the PE chapter is hosting at Humewood and PE Golf Clubs.
