PE businessman found dead in his upmarket restaurant

Police say no foul play is suspected in the death of a well-known Port Elizabeth restaurateur.

The 42-year-old man was found by an employee in the upmarket Wicker Woods restaurant just after eight on Wednesday morning.

Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Alwin Labans, says the man sustained a gunshot wound to the head.

A 9mm pistol was found on the scene.

An inquest docket will be opened.
