Blue Flag status for three PE beaches

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality says three beaches have been accorded Blue Flag status by the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa.

These are Humewood, Hobie and King's Beach

Portfolio committee chairperson, Andiswa Mama, says the Blue Flag awards is a huge achievement for the the Metro, but work continues at other beaches like Wells Estate to achieve the same status.

The announcement was made in Hermanus on Tuesday during the launch of the Blue Flag Status 2015 awards ceremony.
