PE businessman expected back in court for allegedly beating his ex girlfriend

PE businessman Naadir Abader

A Port Elizabeth businessman is expected to make his second court appearance on Wednesday following his arrest for allegedly assaulting his former girlfriend.

The 33-year-old Naadir Abader is facing a charge of assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm as well as a charge of malicious damage to property.

This follows the alleged assault of 25-year-old beautician and local radio presenter Josca Human who laid a charge with the Walmer police in June after photographs of her injuries went viral on social media.

Abader who is the owner of a security firm in the city called Chronicle Protection assaulted a male employee in 2013 for which he got a fine of R600.

The accused is currently out on bail of R500.

Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says this is not the first woman to lay a charge of assault against Abader.

In September of 2017, his then-girlfriend laid a charge of assault but it was later withdrawn.
