Police spokesperson, Thembi Gwe, says the men were arrested on Thursday by two members of the Kwazakhele police, a Sergeant Lotter and Constable Ncefane, who were investigating the robbery of a woman.
She says on further investigation it was learned that one of the brothers is a suspect in a rape case while the other sibling is a suspect in an armed robbery and murder case in 2006 and 2011 respectively.
The brothers, one aged 27 and the other in his thirties, will appear in court on Monday.
