Two Port Elizabeth brothers accused of killing a police officer and wounding another are expected back in court on Tuesday.
Ntuthuzelo and Songezo Mangala, both aged 26, allegedly killed a Sergeant attached to the Kabega Park police station last month.
The 34-year-old Sergeant Siyabonga Wakula was killed at a house in Nosidima Street in Kwazakhele.
His 56-year-old brother was critically wounded in the same incident and is recovering in hospital.
The two suspects were intercepted in Komani on Saturday.
Its believed they were headed for Cape Town and a firearm was found hidden inside the vehicle they were travelling in.
The two brothers made an initial appearance before the New Brighton Magistrate’s Court on Monday on charges of murder and attempted murder.
