A pastor, his fiancé and his cousin who are accused of murdering 25-year-old George resident, Hlompho Mohapi are expected to appear in the George Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
The 30-year-old Melisizwe Monqo, 25-year-old Siphosihle Pamba and the 28-year-old Phumlani Qusheka have been in custody since their arrest in July last year.
Mohapi's body was discovered by fishermen at Herold's Bay.
She had multiple stab wounds and her throat was partially slit.
During their bail application last year the court heard that that the motive for the murder could have been to claim life insurance as three life policies were taken out in the name of the deceased.
One of the policies was going to pay out R3 million.
Magistrate Phillip Mgwebile denied their bail last year and said, based on the evidence brought in court, the three could not be trusted that they won’t intimidate witnesses. He also found them likely to interfere with the investigation and were, therefore, a flight risk.
