Detectives from the South African Police Service at Storms River are investigating a case of culpable homicide following a fatal accident early on Wednesday morning.
Captain Gerda Swart says it appears that a truck collided with another stationary truck on the N2, at Koomansbos, Storms River at around 6 am.
Swart says it is alleged that a Fuso truck broke down and was stationary in the yellow line, facing in the direction of George when later an Isuzu truck, travelling in the same direction collided into it.
A 31-year-old male passenger from the Isuzu succumbed to injuries on the scene while the driver was taken to a hospital in Humansdorp.
The name of the deceased will be released once his next-of-kin have been informed.
