Passenger killed in single vehicle accident on Old Uitenhage Road

Police in Despatch are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a passenger of a BMW was killed on the Old Uitenhage road on Wednesday morning.

Spokesperson Captain Gerda Swart says a preliminary investigation indicates that the driver lost control and overturned.

The passenger, whose identity is unknown at this stage, died at the scene.

Captain Swart says the male driver was taken to hospital for treatment.
