A search and rescue team consisting of 22 people, including a police pathology photographer, have gathered in Friemersheim near Great Brak River to continue their operation to reach the wreckage of a plane that crashed shortly after taking off from George airport on Thursday.
The Cessna Citation with three people on board crashed in a mountainous area near Ruiterbos outside Mossel Bay.
The two men and one woman, who works for the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), were on a calibration mission flight when they lost contact with its flight inspection aircraft.
The objective of today's operation is to establish proof of life.
The CAA will have a press conference in Pretoria on Friday morning.
