Eastern Cape police say Operaton Fiela continues to make inroads in the fight against crime in the Nelson Mandela Bay area.
Provincial spokesperson, Brigadier Marinda Mills says the operation started in the early hours of Thursday morning and continued until 8 am on Friday.
She says 21 suspects were arrested - six for robbery, housebreaking and theft, two for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, four for arson, one for attempted murder and the remainder for various crimes including malicious damage to property, the contravention of a protection order, reckless and negligent driving and drunken driving.
Mills says dagga with an estimated street value of R5-thousand was seized and a 30-year-old suspect arrested.
She says more than 700 people, 250 buildings and 126 vehicles were searched during the operation.
