At least one person has been killed in a road accident involving three vehicles near Albertinia in the Southern Cape.
The accident happened about an hour ago on the N2 near the Gouritsriver mouth off-ramp.
One car caught alight and a bakkie landed on its roof after hitting an embankment on the side of the road.
Its understood that a car travelling from the Garden Route game reserve entrance turned onto the N2 in front of the bakkie.
Police have advised motorists to avoid the area. Police Captain Bernadine Steyn says that section of road will be closed for at least another two hours.
