Mossel Bay toddler given anti-depressants

 A woman from Mossel Bay has been summoned to appear in the town's magistrate's court various charges including child neglect.

The 40-year-old mother allegedly gave her two year old child an overdose of anti-depressants for a period of time.

The baby girl is underdeveloped and was initially admitted to a local hospital.

She has since been placed in foster care.
