One person was killed, and five others were injured in a three-vehicle accident on the N2 near Baywest Mall in Gqeberha.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said the accident occurred at around 5 pm on Thursday afternoon, and involved a bakkie with six occupants, a Kia Rio with two occupants, and a Mazda vehicle with just the driver.
“At this stage, the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident are yet to be established. A male passenger (age and name unknown) passed away on the scene. All the injured persons were from the bakkie,” Naidu said.
She said the occupants of the other two vehicles did not sustain any injuries.
Naidu said Kabega Park SAPS are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
