One person was killed in a head-on collision on the M-17 near Swartkops in Port Elizabeth in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police spokesperson, Capt André Beetge says police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
"The accident happened at 12.45 am on the M-17 between Motherwell and KwaZakelhe. One person died in the accident between a VW Golf and a white Nissan bakkie. The 40-year old driver of the bakkie told police that it seemed that the driver of the Golf lost control of the vehicle and veered into the lane of the bakkie, and they collided head-on. The 32-year old driver of the Golf passed away on the scene, and the driver of the bakkie escaped unharmed" said Beetge.
