Police in Port Elizabeth have launched an internal investigation after a woman who was forcibly ejected from the PE High Court on Tuesday morning during the trial of Nigerian pastor, Timothy Omotoso, turned out to be a police officer.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, says two off-duty female Constables arrived at court and produced their appointment certificates, telling security personnel that they were there as protocol observers.
Naidu says there is no such thing as a "protocol observer". The women were allowed into the court but the Investigating Officer became suspicious and started questioning them.
She says the women became arrogant and was escorted out by uniformed police.
One of the women became very aggressive and had to be forcefully removed.
Uniformed officers are seen in a video carrying the Constable by her arms and her legs.
