The National Sea Rescue Institue in Port Elizabeth activated a sea rescue duty crew on Friday morning, following reports of a boat which capsized near Blue Water Bay.
Spokesperson, Craig Lambinon says a man estimated to be in his early 40's and two men in their late 20's were aboard the vessel at the time of the incident.
He says the SA Police Services, Nelson Mandela Bay Fire and Rescue Services and lifeguards at Blue Water Bay Surf Lifesaving also responded.
Lambinon says the boat and all three men, who are locals, washed ashore.
One of the men was admitted to hospital for near drowning symptoms, but is in a stable condition.
