Five men from Port Elizabeth have had a narrow escape, after their fishing boat capsized off the Port of Ngqura early on Tuesday morning.
NSRI spokesperson, Craig Lambinon says their PE duty crew were activated just before 04h30 following reports of an open fishing boat capsized approximately five nautical miles offshore of the Port of Ngqura.
"Following a brief search, all five men were found safe and clinging onto the upturned hull of their boat", he said.
Lambinon says they all had their life jackets on, and the local men were rescued onto a sea rescue craft and brought back to shore.
No-one was injured.
