The Asset Forfeiture Unit has seized assets totaling nearly R3m from a Port Elizabeth businessman and church bishop.
National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Tsepo Ndwalaza says they had been granted a court order to seize the property belonging to Bishop Samuel Banzana.
They arrived at his home in Lovemore Heights on Wednesday and seized his home, said to be worth R1.5m, and two vehicles - while a third vehicle was located and impounded in Cotswold.
The total value of the three vehicles, which include two BMW's and a 4x4, is about R1.46m.
