No load shedding will be implemented on Sunday, state-owned power utility Eskom announced on Sunday morning.
"We have recovered sufficient pumped storage levels and some of our generating units have returned to service," Eskom said in a statement.
Eskom warned on Saturday that there was a big possibility they would be implementing Stage 2 load-shedding but shortly after 8 am the power utility said they have recovered sufficient storage levels with some generating units returning to service.
Sunday is the first day without load-shedding since the 30th of November.
Eskom warned that the system remained in a state of alert and rotational load shedding at any point cannot be ruled out.
